The Egyptian Organization for Standardization (EOS), the Egyptian national standardization body, in cooperation with the national standardization bodies in other Arabic countries, have jointly formed an Arabic Translation Task Force for translating ISO standards into Arabic language, to be officially adopted by ISO. The EOS holds the General Secretary position in this task force and the translation work is done by the relevant committees in EOS, to be circulated and reviewed by other Arabic national standardization bodies before being sent formally to ISO for adoption.

Among the standards on plan for translation by this task force are the following standards which are related to ITSM and are being translated by the IT Committee in EOS:

• ISO 20000
• ISO 27000
• ISO 27001
• ISO 27002
• ISO 27003

The EAITSM has no direct involvement in these efforts except through the individual participation of some of our members in the IT Committee in EOS. These standards can be requested from EOS directly: http://www.eos.org.eg
